Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Gloucester Housing Authority has 573 households on the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and eight project-based units. Households in this program must locate a unit in the private housing market that meet HUD rent and Housing Quality Standards. A one-year Housing Assistance Payment Contract will be established with their landlord. Households pay a monthly rent equal to 30%-40% of their adjusted monthly gross income and GHA pays the balance of the contract rent to the landlord.
